Internet Telephony magazine (January 2003)
Internet
Telephony has awarded Agilent's Voice Quality Tester (VQT)
Responder its prestigious Product of the Year award. This
annual award highlights the best products from companies with
a commitment to quality.
T he VQT Responder allows network operators to lower test
costs for deploying large Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
networks, when used in conjunction with Agilent's Voice Quality
Tester. The Responder can be operated remotely, increasing
productivity among network engineers and reducing the cost
of test by simplifying testing and troubleshooting of global

Red Herring's "Most Likely to Change the World"
List
In
its sixth year, The Red Herring 100 is an annual survey of
everything that is great about technology, innovation,
and entrepreneurial capitalism. As the magazine puts
it, producing this list means seeking those companies
that are bent on overcoming theoretical scientific limits
and are capable of building sound business models from their
developments.
This year, Agilent joined that remarkable list for the first
time, as "a market leader in the testing and measurement
of equipment used to manufacture optical components
that has finessed the manufacturing process for nanoelectronic

Ned Barnholt Receives AeA Medal of Achievement (October
2002)
The AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association) awarded
Agilent President and CEO Ned Barnholt its prestigious Medal
of Achievement on October 17, 2002 in San Jose, Calif. The
AeA -- the largest high-tech industry association -- presents
the Medal of Achievement annually to recognize an individual
who has made significant contributions to the high-tech industry
and to the community at large.
In accepting his award, Ned recognized the men and women of
Agilent. "This award," he said, "recognizes
their accomplishments, their creativity and their support.

Agilent is Awarded Cisco Supplier Award for Second Straight
Year (October 2002)
Cisco Systems Inc. has named Agilent as this year's recipient
of their Optics Manufacturing Award. Agilent is one of the
leading optical transceiver suppliers to Cisco, and having
won the Cisco President's Award for supplier of the year in
2001, is the first company to win Cisco supplier honors in
consecutive years.
The manufacturing awards are presented in several product
categories, and are given to acknowledge companies that routinely
exceed expectations in key areas, such as flexibility and
responsiveness, technology, value, quality, and service and
support.
Powerwave Top Supplier Award (September 2002)
Powerwave Technologies, a leader in power amplifiers for
cellular base stations and one of the Electronic Measurements Group's (EMG) most important customers, named
Agilent one of its top suppliers for 2002.
Agilent was the only test-and-measurement company honored
by Powerwave. Powerwave buys a number of different microwave
and radio frequency products from Agilent, with an emphasis
on spectrum analyzers, signal sources and network analyzers.
Agilent Ranks #1 in Customer Satisfaction for Sixth Time
(September 2002)
The Automated Test Group's Hachioji Semiconductor Test Division
(HSTD) in Japan was ranked "top supplier" in the
Semiconductor Process Diagnostic Equipment category of VLSI
Research, Inc.'s 2002 Customer Satisfaction survey. VLSI,
a U.S.-based market research company, conducts the worldwide
survey annually, and this is the sixth year in a row that
Agilent's semiconductor parametric test equipment has been
#1.
Agilent had the best overall rating in the process diagnostics
category, and the highest overall score when compared to the
other four equipment categories surveyed.
Agilent Wins Two Excellence Awards from AEEMA (September
2002)
Agilent
was presented with two prestigious awards at the Australian
Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers' Association (AEEMA)
Excellence Awards Gala Dinner 2002. Agilent won the "Excellence
in Innovation" award and a joint award for "Excellence
in Commercializing R&D." These awards were based
on the achievements and caliber of products from Agilent's
Data Networks Division that designs, manufactures and markets
leading-edge test equipment for the telecommunications industry.

The annual AEEMA Excellence Awards recognize "excellence
in a range of key industry activities, including commercializing
R&D, smart manufacturing, exporting and environment".

Agilent India Ranked Test & Measurement Vendor of
the Year (August 2002)
For the 2nd year in a row, Agilent India has won the Test
and Measurement (T&M) Vendor of the Year by Voice &
Data, India's leading publication on telecommunications and
networking. According to the survey, Agilent tops the chart
in the T&M space, with a turnover of US$25 million (Rs
116 crore) in the fiscal 2001-02 period. The magazine estimates
that the company registered a 10-percent growth in its T&M
business in the same period and said Agilent "has solutions
that suit all telecom providers from design, network optimization,
technology migration, and implementation."
Agilent IT wins Coveted Award From Computerworld (June
2002)
Computerworld
magazine honored Agilent IT with its coveted 21st Century
Achievement Award at ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
Computerworld's Honors Program awards are presented annually
to exceptional organizations in recognition of the extraordinary
quality of their work, its impact on society, and its contribution
to the history of the information technology revolution.
Agilent Receives Celestica's Global Supplier Award for
Fourth Straight Year (June 2002)
Agilent has been selected to receive a Partners in Performance
award by Celestica Inc, a world leader in electronics manufacturing
services. Agilent, which provides fiber optic transceivers
and other semiconductor solutions to Celestica, has received
this award four years in a row.
The Partners in Performance award is given to suppliers based
on their ability to support Celestica's supply chain management
objectives in the following areas: flexibility and responsiveness,
impact on asset management, effectiveness and efficiency,
and overall supplier performance.
Chic Technologies' Most Valuable Supplier Award (May 2002)
Taiwans
Chic Technologies, makers of computer mice, speakers and game
pads, has named Agilent Technologies its Most Valuable
Supplier of 2001. SPGs Personal Systems Business
Unit has supplied optical mouse sensors to Chic since 1999.
This is the first time a vendor was so honored by Chic. Agilent
was presented the award because the quality of its products
and services enabled Chic to satisfy its customers and meet
its delivery, reliability and cost objectives.
Agilent's Performance Signal Generators Recognized as
"Top Products of 2001" by Microwaves & RF Magazine
(March 2002)
Microwaves
& RF magazine recognized Agilent's series of performance
signal generators (PSGs) as one of their "Top Products
of 2001."
"We chose the Agilent PSG series because of its technological
innovation and practical benefit to the engineering community,"
said Jack Browne, publisher and editor-in-chief of Microwaves
& RF magazine. "The PSG series improves upon their
predecessors in several areas, providing frequency coverage
as wide as 250 kHz to 40 GHz, with low phase noise and high
output power for handling a wide range of broadband commercial
and military measurement applications."
SMT Magazine (February 2002)
Agilent has received SMT magazines SMT VISION Award
for 2001s Best New Product in Test. The award was given
in recognition of the Agilent SJ50, an automated optical inspection
system that accurately measures and characterizes components
and paste at multiple positions along the surface-mount technology
manufacturing line.
A panel of industry judges, completely independent of SMT
magazine, selects the winners. The entire entry process is
handled by a third-party marketing firm, including tabulation
of the judges scoring before delivering all final results

Test and Measurement World Magazine (January 2002)
Test
& Measurement World selected the Agilent 1680 and 1690
series logic analyzers as Best in Test 2002 recipients
and as finalists for Test Product of the Year 2002.
The Best in Test Awards are presented annually by the editors
of Test & Measurement World. These awards honor important
and innovative new products in the electronics test and measurement

EE-Evaluation Engineer Magazine (January 2002)
EE-Evaluation
Engineer magazine recognized Agilent Technologies in their
annual survey "2001 Readers' Choice" award for the
best product for the year. The best test and evaluation products
are selected by their readers. Agilent walked away with the
top honors for the PSA II Series of spectrum analyzers for

Logitech Supplier Award (January 2002)
Agilent
was presented with a supplier award in recognition of its
contribution to Logitech's success in the optical mouse and
PC video markets. Agilent is the inventor, manufacturer and
supplier of the optical navigation sensor that Logitech uses
in its optical mice, and a key supplier of CMOS sensors for
video applications.
Logitech Chief Executive Officer Guerrino De Luca remarked
that his company had never before recognized a supplier in
this way, but the accomplishments that have resulted from
Logitech's partnership with Agilent merited such action. Citing
Logitech's standing in the marketplace and its continued growth
during rough economic times, Guerrino commented, "We

Internet Telephony magazine (January 2002)
Internet Telephony magazine has selected Agilent's NgN Analysis
System as 2001 Product of the Year. Manufactured by the Telecom
Systems Division within Operations Support Systems
(OSS), the product is the industry's first next-generation
IP telephony monitoring and management system.
The annual award honors innovative products and services
that make a positive impact on the convergence of voice and
